NNELS files can be played on DAISY players such as Victor Reader, mobile devices (including Android and Apple iOS devices) or on computers. They can be downloaded directly to certain devices (e.g. Voice Dream for iOS devices), or transferred using flash drives, CDs, SD cards, or USB cables.

• If you have a Windows computer, you can install the free and open source AMIS for Windows XP or newer to listen to DAISY books.
• If you have a Mac computer, you can install the free and open source Olearia for Mac OS 10.5 or newer.
• If you’re using an iOS device such as an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, you can use the DaisyWorm app ($0.99 in the App Store) or the Voice Dream app ($14.95 in the App Store). DaisyWorm users will also need to install some other software on their computers in order to transfer DAISY books onto devices. • If you’re using an Android device, the standard app is Darwin Reader ($14.95 in the Google Play store).
