Where can I find more information about NNELS?

You can find more information on our About us page. We’ve also put together some interesting facts about NNELS you can use in your communications.

How are NNELS services funded?

The digital platform for NNELS, and its core delivery services, are funded and supported by the provincial governments of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon. The service provider for NNELS is the BC Libraries Cooperative, a non-profit Community Services Cooperative which is a shared service provider to libraries and library-related organizations in Canada.

Initiatives falling outside the core delivery services of NNELS are funded through the Federal Government grant, as described above.

Why is NNELS working with CELA on this initiative?

We believe it is essential that NNELS and CELA speak together on behalf of all those with print disabilities to persuade the federal government to restore funding.
